A little anxiety about work is not a bad thing if it motivates you into action. Too much anxiety can however be destructive. Students who face stressful situations or emotional problems may reach rather extreme levels of anxiety. Sometimes the worry is about work-related issues. Sometimes they are afraid that they may not fulfil someone's expectation of them. Anxiety can make you physically ill. In such cases, one knows that if you could get some work done, one would feel less anxious. But the longer the situation persists, the harder it becomes to break free. Whatever the cause of the worry, the only way out is to break free of this vicious cycle. Talk to someone who can be trusted to take the problem seriously and who can advice one properly. Make use of techniques like meditation to set yourself free from the worry trap. Remember, do not expect to transform yourself overnight. It will take a while but things will improve.
